Describing a Successful Businessman: Sample Answer for IELTS Speaking Cue Card

Cue Card: Describe a successful businessman you know. You should say: who this person is, how you know this person, how he/she has become so successful, and explain why you consider him/her as a successful business person.

One successful businessman that I know is my uncle who runs his own IT company. I have known him since childhood as he is my mother's brother. He started his business about 15 years ago from scratch and now his company has grown into a successful enterprise with a good reputation in the market.

My uncle's company has become successful due to his dedication, hard work, and innovative ideas. He always stays updated with the latest technology and software, which helps his company stay ahead of its competitors. He is a good leader and knows how to motivate his employees to work towards the company's goals. He also has a good business sense and always makes strategic decisions that benefit the company in the long run.

In my opinion, my uncle is a successful businessman because he has built his company from the ground up through his hard work and dedication. He takes calculated risks and always stays true to his values and principles, which has helped him build a strong foundation for his business. His success is not just measured in terms of financial gains but also in the positive impact he has made on his employees' lives by providing them with stable jobs and opportunities for growth.

Overall, I consider my uncle a successful businessman because of his entrepreneurial spirit, his innovative ideas, and his ability to lead and motivate his team towards achieving the company's goals.
