Medical Requirements

Most countries want students to be healthy. therefore, they are asked to provide medical certificate along with their visa application. 

Depending on the country you are applying for, you have to visit an authorised panel of doctors to perform medical examination. Depending on the age and other health issues, you may be screened for TB, pregnancy, Chest X-ray, or HIV test etc. Charges for it varies.

USA- Not required

UK- You’ll need to have a tuberculosis (TB) test if you’re coming to the UK. You’ll be given a chest x-ray to test for TB. If the result of the x-ray is not clear you may also be asked to give a sputum sample (phlegm coughed up from your lungs).

If your test shows that you do not have TB, you’ll be given a certificate which is valid for 6 months from the date of your x-ray. Include this certificate with your UK visa application

The fee for TB screening is Indian Rupee 2000 for each person. The cost of the test is in addition to the visa application fee.

New Zealand-Your chest x-ray and medical examination results must be no more than 3 months old when we receive your application.
